The 40 Under 40 honorees presented in grand style

The 40 Under 40 honorees presented in grand style: We presented the class of 2013 40 Under 40 honorees about a week ago in a slideshow of the photographs submitted to us by the recipients.

Now, we’d like to do it right, with a slideshow of striking pictures taken by a terrific photographer, and generally cool guy, Jeff Fusco.

Some of the honorees were shot with props and gadgets and lariats and guitars and whatnot — things that are indicative of an aspect of their lives.

PA 49th in job growth

PA 49th in job growth: Pennsylvania was 49th out of 50 states when it came to job growth in March, according to data compiled by Arizona State University. The Keystone State saw a 0.03 percent growth in nonfarm jobs last month from March 2012. Only Wyoming (-0.25 percent) was worse off while the rest of the states added jobs.

New Jersey fared much better, finishing 25th with 1.15 percent increase in jobs. North Dakota (4.27 percent) experience the most job growth.

South Philly job fair overflows: Organizers of a job fair at the Navy Yard in South Philadelphia Friday were met with hundreds of people looking for work, CBS Philly reported

Councilman Kenyatta Johnson’s office organized this job fair and called it “No Excuses” because they claimed there was no reason not to attend, as shuttle buses were offered to get people from Broad and Oregon to the Navy Yard. So many people attended that hundreds were moved outside due to safety issues.
